An Evening of Memories with Elaine Paige

In conversation about her illustrious career

7-Night Mediterranean Gems Seabourn Ovation – 22 October 2022

On 11th May 2018, actress, recording artist, concert performer, producer, broadcaster & Olivier Award winner, Elaine Paige served as godmother to the beautiful new Seabourn Ovation at a glamorous naming ceremony in the baroque harbour of Valletta, Malta. Now Seabourn is delighted to announce that Elaine will be reunited with her ship to host ‘An Evening of Memories with Elaine Paige: in Conversation about her Illustrious Career’ during a 7-night ‘Mediterranean Gems’ voyage departing 22 October 2022.

Elaine created the role of Eva Peron in Evita, the role of Grizabella in Cats – the song Memory becoming her signature - and the role of Florence in Chess – the song I Know Him So Well becoming a worldwide No.1 hit. Further productions include Sunset Blvd (London/New York); Anything Goes; The King & I, Sweeney Todd (Drama Desk nomination) and Follies (New York.) Elaine has recorded 26 albums; received an OBE for services to Musical Theatre and presents a weekly BBC Radio 2 programme Elaine Paige On Sunday now in its 18th year.

Said Elaine:

“As Godmother, I’m so looking forward to being aboard Ovation once again.  I have not seen this magnificent ship since I christened her in Malta in 2018. This time, from the wonderful Grand Salon Theatre on board, I will share memories from my life that has been filled with music, both on stage & off, and tell fascinating anecdotes of the people I’ve met from Presidents and Royalty to those behind-the-scenes that make theatre tick"

And to quote the great Cole Porter ‘There’s no cure like travel, to help you unravel, the worries of living today!’  I can’t wait to ‘sea’ you all soon!”

This is a unique opportunity to join Seabourn Ovation for the perfect evening of ‘Memories’ with Elaine Paige. Sailing from Rome’s port of Civitavecchia for Livorno, the gateway to the Renaissance treasures of Tuscany.

Then head for the tiny French island of Corsica, before cruising the French Riviera, with opportunities to tour stunning Provence, or visit the historic cities of Carcassonne, Montpellier or Aigues Mortes. Spanish ports include Palamos with its beaches and ancient remains, and Palma, the capital of the sunny Balearics.
