Ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea has once again confirmed its top place in the cruise line sector as it was awarded “Best Small Ship Cruise Line” at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers Awards in London.
Silversea received an overall score of 90.37 placing it 42nd in the World’s Top 100 Travel Companies.
Trudy Redfern, Silversea’s Senior Vice President, UK/Ireland/Middle East Markets:
We are thrilled to win this highly coveted award and would like to thank our loyal customers for choosing Silversea and voting for us as ‘Best Small Ship Cruise Line’ in this reader’s choice survey. This is the ninth time we have won this particular accolade, one of the few Awards voted purely by the British public
Silversea also scored a high 94.66 for décor and ambience, as well as a magnificent 95.54 for the onboard food and beverage experience.
Earlier this year Silversea announced that its new vessel Silver Spirit will embark on a full World Cruise traversing both hemispheres. This grandest of voyages, appropriately themed “Spirit of Discovery,” begins in Los Angeles on 19 January 2011, before taking 540 passengers on a 119-day odyssey exploring 60 destinations in 25 countries — with 11 overnight port visits — before concluding in Southampton on 19 May.
