Major Investment Confirms Ship’s Future; Luxury Fleet Sees Widespread Enhancements
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced a dramatic reversal of an earlier decision, confirming that the beloved Seven Seas Navigator will remain a permanent fixture in “The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet®.”
Earlier this year, the cruise line had announced that the Seven Seas Navigator would depart the fleet for a long-term charter in October 2026. However, in an unexpected move, Regent has confirmed the “intimate ship” is now scheduled for a multi-million-dollar dry-dock in late 2026 before continuing its service with the luxury brand.
“They say that some goodbyes don’t last, and I’m delighted to say that this is the case with Seven Seas Navigator,” Jason Montague, Cheif Luxury Officer went on to say: “Our beloved ship has left a mark far too great to say farewell to.”
The decision follows an outpouring of support and emotional messages from guests who view the vessel as a “second home.” Following the dry-dock, the ship will continue to offer the ultra-luxury standards and personalized hospitality that guests have come to expect. New itineraries for the ship are expected to be announced and open for sale soon.
Fleet-Wide Enhancements and Expansion
The news regarding Seven Seas Navigator is just one part of a major investment cycle for the luxury cruise line.
- Seven Seas Mariner Makeover: The Seven Seas Mariner is heading into its own multi-million-dollar dry-dock. This refurbishment will include a complete transformation with refreshed suites and beautiful public spaces. A key culinary enhancement is an enhanced Pool Grill featuring a new wood-fired pizzeria concept for relaxed alfresco dining. Suite renovations are described as “spectacular,” promising modern elegance, updated furnishings, and enhanced guest comfort.
- Voyager and Prestige: This activity precedes the scheduled stylish makeover for the Seven Seas Voyager in May next year and the highly anticipated launch of the new Seven Seas Prestige™.
By the end of 2026, these efforts will result in “The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet” consisting of seven ultra-luxury, unrivalled ships, sailing to over 550 global destinations.
Looking ahead, Regent also confirmed plans for a second Prestige-class ship on the horizon, scheduled for 2030, solidifying the brand’s commitment to growth in the ultra-luxury segment. The cruise line has advised the public to “keep an eye out for another exciting fleet update coming very soon.”
