The Windstar Culinary Cruise Collection kicked off on May 6 with a cooking demonstration and meal presented by Denver restaurant powerhouse Chef Jan Jasinski, a James Beard Foundation award-winner for Best Chef Southwest. With restaurants Rioja and Bistro Vendôme focusing on Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine, Chef Jasinski was a natural fit to host the Western Mediterranean cruise from Rome to Barcelona. Over half of the onboard cruisers attended her cooking demonstration, followed by a near-capacity dinner in AmphorA . Her dishes were the clear favorite, with offerings ranging from an heirloom tomato consommé with goat cheese ravioli, to seared sea scallops on a coconut risotto cake with mango salad and Thai green curry sauce.
