Luxury cruise line strengthens culinary leadership with seasoned hospitality expert

Silversea Cruises has announced the appointment of Gianluca Sparacino, a former Four Seasons Resorts executive, as its new Global Head of Food and Beverage, effective August 18, 2025. In this role, Sparacino will spearhead the evolution of the cruise line’s culinary program, enhancing its reputation for world-class dining at sea.

Reporting directly to Michael McCarthy, Silversea’s Vice President of Operations, Sparacino will collaborate with both shoreside and onboard teams to drive culinary innovation, service excellence, and the expansion of Silversea’s gastronomic offerings.

Hailing from Italy, Sparacino brings over three decades of experience from some of the world’s most renowned epicurean destinations, including Singapore, Dubai, and Geneva. His impressive career includes leadership roles at Four Seasons Resorts, where he most recently served as Vice President of Food & Beverage, Americas, after overseeing the EMEA region in the same capacity.

Anthony Maubossin as Director of Culinary Operations & Innovation—a recent inductee as a Membre Auditeur of the prestigious Académie Culinaire de France, an institution dedicated to preserving the art of French cuisine.

Jordan Bernstein as Director of Food & Beverage Operations, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in elevating onboard culinary and hospitality standards.
