Silversea is thrilled to announce an exciting update to its dress code policy, inspired by the resounding success aboard Silver Nova. This change is being extended across the entire fleet, starting with Silver Dawn, Silver Spirit, Silver Muse, and Silver Whisper, effective for sailings departing on or after 21st April 2024. The rest of the ships, including Silver Shadow, will follow suit for sailings departing on or after 26th May 2024.

Elegant Casual or Formal
During the day, guests are invited to embrace a casual yet elegant atmosphere akin to a five-star resort. Feel free to dress comfortably for daytime activities, with flat or low-heeled footwear recommended for all deck activities.

As evening falls, the dress code transitions to a refined and stylish ambience. After 6 p.m., guests have the opportunity to elevate their attire to Elegant casual or Formal wear.

The Elegant casual dress code offers flexibility for those seeking a relaxed evening. Ladies can choose from trousers, blouses, skirts, or casual chic dresses, while gentlemen can opt for open-collar shirts and slacks, with the option to add a jacket for a touch of formality.

For a truly sophisticated evening experience, we recommend adhering to the Formal Optional dress code. Ladies can indulge in evening gowns or cocktail dresses, while gentlemen can opt for tuxedos, dinner jackets, or dark suits paired with a tie. Alternatively, adhering to the Elegant Casual dress code is welcome, with a jacket required for gentlemen in all indoor spaces.

To maintain an upscale ambience onboard, indoor spaces after 6pm prohibit jeans, shorts, trainers, and flip-flops. Gentlemen dining at La Dame restaurants are kindly asked to wear a jacket at all times. However, casual wear remains suitable for outdoor venues.

The number of formal evenings depends on the duration of your voyage. Elegant Casual nights will be the norm for voyages of seven days or less. Voyages of eight to 14 days may feature one or two Formal Optional nights, while longer voyages of 15 days or more typically include two or more Formal Optional nights, ensuring a diverse and memorable experience for all guests.
